I'm ramping up the nonprofit activity and looking for hands on deck! Please share with anyone you can think of who might be interested. Some positions can be done remotely, and everything on your own time. All ages welcome. Keep reading for more reasons why I think you might know someone who would be a perfect fit.

We only have a short time before school starts, so that's why I'm trying to find people now. Once we have funding, volunteer positions will be paid positions, unless for some reason you elect to remain in a volunteer status.

Pay rates are $17 an hour for all positions except tutors who will receive $30 per session.

This is a great way to gain experience, put on resumes, college applications, scholarship applications, etc.

Since we work with neurodivergent learners, I welcome and encourage these people to apply. If I had a student come back to work here, I would be especially over the moon!

I probably don't say this enough, but through my many years of tutoring, I've encountered many men who are making such an important difference in the lives of my students. This is for you

Since 2024 I've been testing out project management software for our nonprofit. I found a decent option, but CTS is head and shoulders above the rest. Everything is customized and they're competitively priced. I'm probably going to be able to add more functionality in addition to project management, so I'm excited about the new venture.

If you are a teacher or tutor, they're actually working with me to integrate lesson planning, parent communication and streamlining processes, like storing and sharing files related to each student, for example if I want to send extra practice.

The owner of CTS is Malik Franklin. I met him because he was interested not only in doing our software, but also has a very real desire to help the community.

He's been taking time out of his busy schedule since he contacted me in April, every week. He's learning how to teach, and he's going to be helping me with fundraising efforts. He also offers boxing lessons as a community service. I'm so fortunate to have a reliable person helping get One on One Tutoring some momentum!

I've helped a lot of kids in my classroom. But first, before I ever meet my students, a mom has to recognize her child is struggling. She has to decide to do something about it, and does everything in her power to make it better. Moms brought their children to me. A lot of them have been working for years before we even met, going to bat for their child. If you are a mom reading this, and this describes you, please do something for me.

Show this to your kids. When the kids are with me, I remind them about how much you do for them. I tell them they need to honor that by putting forth their best effort. I can't teach them right now, so this is my message to them.
