We focus on allowing children to flourish in a developmentally appropriate environment where they are encouraged to learn by discovery. Our philosophy in the simplest terms is "a child learns through play". We believe that through play a child can learn about the world and themselves. We give the child opportunities to explore materials, equipment, and language, plus develop positive relationships
with adults and other children. we want learning to be a fun, meaningful experience that the child will actively participate in . We respect your child's individuality, interests, and questions. SLCC believes that every child has the right to learn in a safe, healthy environment. Therefore, ALL children are accepted and welcomed at SLCC. We work with families to make the appropriate accommodations that fit the child's needs. We believe that it is a shared responsibility between teacher and parent for the education of young children. SLCC respects and includes families in the learning process.
