Our school is located near the heart of Summerville and is home to over 800 busy bees. Flowertown Elementary continues to flourish because we cultivate a strong bond between parents, teachers, students, administrators, and the community. We each share a part in shaping the lives of our precious children.

If you are interested in mentoring a group of students once a week in the 26-27 school year to encourage leadership skills and build self confidence, we would love to hear from you. 📢 Testing Reminder for Families
As we prepare for upcoming SCReady testing in grades 3-5, we appreciate your partnership in helping our students do their very best!
✨ How you can help your child succeed:
⏰ Please make sure your child arrives at school on time each day—a calm, on-time start makes a big difference!
🗓️ If possible, avoid scheduling doctor’s appointments or other activities during testing hours so students don’t miss important testing time.
📱 Electronic Device Reminder:
To ensure a secure testing environment, students may not have cell phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth earbuds/ headphones, or any other personal electronic devices during testing.
All devices will be collected before testing begins and kept in a safe location.
Students are also not allowed to use their testing device to take pictures, record, or share any information.
🚫 Important:
Following testing rules is very important. Any misuse of devices, cheating, or test security violations will result in school/district consequences in accordance with Dorchester District Two’s policies.

From moves and deployments to new beginnings, our students show incredible courage and we are so grateful to stand beside them.
