Let’s get our kids registered. ❤️

Returning student registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th. Families may begin the registration process by visiting https://www.ddtwo.org/register and logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Returning student registration is for students who were enrolled in a DDTwo school during the 2025–2026 academic year. To complete the registration process, families will need to upload the following required documents:

- Proof of parent/guardian's residence

- South Carolina Certificate of Immunization

Students who are registering at a different DDTwo school due to an address change must complete new student registration rather than returning student registration.

Full details on both new and returning student registration are available at https://www.ddtwo.org/register.

What do we do at school during the summer, you ask? Our custodial team is hard at work moving furniture out of EVERY classroom to give it a good clean! Our painters are busy touching up the walls, bathrooms, and classrooms. Our muralist is sprucing up a few of our spaces, the admin/front office staff are scheduling, creating class lists, and sometimes eating from the garden. Peek at the new Behavior Motivation Room, affectionately named The Gator Tails Cove. We hope you are enjoying summertime while we prepare for a spectacular 2026-2027 school year!

Yesterday we started the week off right and celebrated two Great Gators.

Our first Great Gator comes from 1st Grade Ms. Hattabaugh's class.
Torres is a phenomenal student who continues to shine every single day. He has worked through challenges with determination and perseverance, and his academic growth has been so exciting to watch! Torres serves as a positive role model and consistently demonstrates exemplary behavior. He is respectful, responsible, kind, and always willing to do the right thing. Torres is truly a remarkable student. 1E is so lucky to have him as part of their classroom family!

Our second Great Gator comes from Mrs. Cross's class. Shiloh is being recognized for learning how to work harder every day with perseverance, determination, and focus. He is curious and loves to explore interesting topics, often sharing what he learns with others. Shiloh also shows kindness and responsibility by helping take care of the younger bus riders. Keep up the amazing effort and leadership, Shiloh—we are proud of you!

Congratulations to both these amazing young men!

Teamwork makes the dream work! Friday was another example of what the team at Fort Elementary can do to bring experiences to our students. Our awesome guidance counselors with the help of our equally awesome SRO put on a fabulous career vehicle day! To top the day off, the teachers stopped what they were doing at the end of the day to bring all 720 students outside to bid farewell to the visiting helicopter! Their cheers and excitement were the purest example of what our amazing school accomplishes through teamwork!

Today our Great Gator comes from Mr. Tucker's class. Dylan is the definition of optimistic. He starts the day by saying hello to his classmates. He even checks in with me by asking how my day or weekend was. He has faced adversity this school year and made the necessary changes to be successful. Dylan is a valuable piece to 5E puzzle. Congratulations Dylan, we are so proud of you!

Today was a Terrific Tuesday for sure, we celebrated two Great Gators.

Our first Great Gator comes from Mrs. Henson's class, Vedu consistently demonstrates kindness, responsibility, and a positive attitude each day. He participates thoughtfully in class activities, works hard to do his personal best, and shows dedication to his learning and growth. His teamwork skills stand out as he works respectfully and cooperatively with others, always encouraging his classmates and contributing in meaningful ways. He is a valued member of the classroom community, and his effort and character are truly appreciated. Congratulations, Vedu!

Our second Great Gator comes from Mrs. Kren's class, Ansleigh is a great friend to all. She comes to school each day with a bright smile, eagerness to learn, and motivation to work hard! She is one of the most athletic students Mrs. Kren has ever taught! Mrs. Kren looks forward to hearing all about her gymnastics accomplishments after a long competition weekend! Keep shining Ansleigh!

What amazing things said about these Great Gators! Congratulations 🎉🎉
