🍿 Cobra Families & Community — It’s Fundraiser Time! 🐍
We’re kicking off our FIRST fundraiser of the school year with Double Good Popcorn! 🎉
Our goal is to raise funds to make Team Time even better for our students! Funds raised will help us purchase new outdoor equipment, games, and activities that will give our students more opportunities to get active, have fun, and connect with their friends.

We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! We’re excited to share an opportunity for our parents to get more involved and help make Cane Bay Middle School an even better place for our students! 🎉
It’s time to nominate yourself or another parent/guardian to serve on our School Improvement Council (SIC)! 🗳️
SIC is made up of members of our school community who work together to share ideas, identify opportunities for growth, and help improve the overall school experience for our students and families. 💡
We are looking for 2 to 6 parent representatives who are:
✨ Ready to be a voice for our students and families
💬 Willing to share ideas, feedback, and concerns
💡 Solution-oriented and ready to help make a difference
🤝 Interested in working collaboratively with our school community
🎉 Willing to assist with SIC-sponsored events and initiatives
Nominations are open August 24–31! 🗓️

💻 Chromebook Distribution Begins Next Week! 💻

Cobra families, it’s Chromebook time! 🐍💙 Please see the schedule below for student Chromebook distribution:

📅 Wednesday, August 19 – 8th Grade
📅 Thursday, August 20 – 7th Grade
📅 Friday, August 21 – 6th Grade

Once your student receives their Chromebook, please take a moment to check the device, case, and charger for any issues. Students can report concerns to the Media Center.

🔧 We will swap out devices or chargers with minor issues through Friday, August 28. After that date, damages will be handled according to the posted BCSD fee policies.

A heartfelt thank you to Republic Services for generously sponsoring coffee for our staff on their first day back, and thank you to Lowkey Lattes for serving up amazing drinks and helping make the morning so special. Your generosity and support helped our teachers kick off the 2026-2027 school year feeling appreciated, energized, and ready to make a difference. Cobra families and staff,

We look forward to welcoming everyone for Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Cane Bay Middle School!

Student schedules will be available in PowerSchool beginning Wednesday, August 5, at 12:00 PM. We encourage families to review schedules before arriving to help make the evening as smooth as possible.

We're excited to welcome Mr. DallaValle to the Cane Bay Middle School family as our new Health Education Teacher! With nearly 11 years of teaching experience across Connecticut, South Carolina, and Florida, he brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for student success, and was recently recognized as his school's 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year. We know his commitment to building meaningful relationships and promoting healthy habits will make a lasting impact on our students.
