Yes, summer is officially here and we hope you are soaking up every bit of sunshine and fun! ☀️ But as we all know, a new school year is just around the corner, and prep season starts now.

🐢 Big things are happening, Sea Turtles! 🐢

​While many of us have been watching the incredible progress on our brand-new building, that’s just the beginning of the transformation taking place this summer!

​Our campus is a bustling hive of activity right now. From a vibrant fresh coat of paint and modern new furniture to brand-new playground equipment, we are working hard to completely revitalize our learning spaces. Every single project is designed with one goal in mind: giving our students the ultimate environment to love, learn, and lead.

Learning goes beyond the classroom walls! Last week, our 3rd–5th grade students participated in a career fair, connecting with local professionals to learn about diverse paths in fields like aviation, engineering, military, arts, healthcare, and beyond. We are so proud of our sea turtles for asking such thoughtful questions and dreaming big about their future goals.

Last Friday was a total treat! 🍨 We got to celebrate our amazing students raising an incredible $36,000 for Boosterthon. How did we reward them? By turning our administrators into human sundaes, obviously!

​To make the day even better, our "Principal of the Day" (winner from our Fall Festival) officially took the reins. It was the perfect day of leadership, laughter, and a whole lot of whipped cream. So proud of this community! 💙🎉

We are so grateful to Books & Beyond for visiting Summerville Elementary School this week! Our students were reminded why reading is so important and were excited to choose two free books to add to their home libraries.
