Reminder: Sultan High School/SVO there is No School on Monday, May 25

There will be no school on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

We hope your family enjoys a relaxing long weekend, takes time to remember and honor those who have served, and gets some well-deserved rest.

STATE Testing is HERE! The approach to testing this year continues to be student success. The high school again this year will be making a big deal out of students and their efforts to pass the state tests to further their path to graduation.

If your student is taking a state test (predominately sophomores and juniors), they will receive an invitation to do so. They should arrive at normal times on Friday, May 8th and Friday, May 15th. If you have a question on whether your student should or should not be taking the SBA and WASC (ELA, Math, Science) competency test, please contact the counseling office at 360-793-9861 ext. 1640.

If your student does not have a test to take (predominantly freshmen and seniors), they will not attend school on Friday, May 8th or Friday, May 15th; however, they WILL need to complete asynchronous work assigned for each of their classes via Canvas.

Attendance for testing is mandatory. Please make sure that your students get plenty of rest the night before and bring their fully charged laptop with them to school for testing

Friday, May 8th – Sophomores will be taking SBA ELA on campus.
• Freshmen, Juniors and Seniors will do Asynchronized Learning from home.
• Any students who need to make up testing from prior years.

Friday, May 15th – Sophomores will be taking SBA Math on campus.
Friday, May 15th - Juniors will be taking Science WCAS on campus.
• Freshmen and Seniors will do Asynchronized Learning from home.
• Any students who need to make up testing from prior years.
