Exploring Louisiana History Through STEM!

Mrs. Alston’s class brought history to life with an exciting Social Studies STEM challenge!

Students learn about Louisiana’s first inhabitants and explored how they used natural resources to create pottery for everyday life. Students then became young artisans and used their creativity and problem-solving skills to design and create their own pottery!

This hands-on experience connected history, engineering, creativity, and critical thinking, allowing students to discover how people used the materials around them to meet their needs.

Building Bridges with STEM!

Students in Mrs. Sargent’s class are learning all about civil engineers and how they design and build bridges! Students put their engineering skills to work as they planned, designed, built, and tested their own bridge structures.

Through this hands-on STEM experience, students explored how civil engineers use science, math, creativity, and problem-solving to create strong and safe structures.

We love watching our future engineers learn through designing, building, testing, and improving!
