The goal of Teaching In A Bubble is to create relevant, differentiated products which meet the needs of diverse global learners. My philosophy is that we must grow the "whole child" via nurturing and scaffolding independent, critically thinking problem solvers. We must also nurture globally-minded citizens who can collaborate and collectively works towards solutions. Each child had unique gifts an

d talents and should be celebrate for those talents and gifts. All students have "gaps of knowledge" and I feel that instead of dutifully doling out knowledge as in omnipotent sage, we must relinquish the reins to the students and work in the capacity of a coach or mentor if they are to ever be truly independent and successful. My focus is geared towards ESL/ELL learners, IB PYP students & curriculum, Early Childhood best pedagogical practices, critical thinking, DOK, Depth of Knowledge, STEAM, interdisciplinary instructional strategies, differentiated instructional strategies, Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core & Texas TEKS standards.

This is inconcievable and no child or family should have to face this kind of crisis. This is happening in my backyard (Houston, TX). This family fled to the US to seek asylum and safety!!!
As a Christian, mother, teacher and citizen I feel we all have a civic duty to aid others when we have the ability to do so. I've had students ripped from parents and family before and it is devastating. Please help if you are able to do so.

The Maradiaga family arrived to the U.S. a little less than a year ago. They were apprehended on the border and released so that they may continue to fight their credible fear case. The family has been showing up for every court case and has done their due diligence to make sure they stay in com...

In the wake and midst of all that has occurred recently which was beyond our scope of influence, I am hoping that I can influence YOU to either share this post and/or make a donation and contribute to aiding this sweet child and his mother. I don't personally know them, I actually saw this on a friend's page. But as a mother it tore at my heartstrings. Ayden doesn't have the luxury of time that you or I take for granted. His campaign needs about 50,000 more to get him the treatment that he needs.
I'll admit that I've never donated to a GoFundMe campaign before, but there's a first time for everything...Right? It also gives me an outlet to have some influence when the last week has been a little nuts...I:be prayed, walked the floors and stayed up all night for my friends and family in Tx/La affected by Harvey. Just my two cents of rambling..And my personal beliefs which I am careful to rarely share on social media. I mean no harm, nor is it my intention to offend anyone. This is just weighing heavily upon my heart.
Thanks in advance for at least sharing this post so that maybe with my+your sphere of influence we can try to get Ayden the help he needs.

Wow, Kudos to this senator who walks in an educators' shoes to appreciate our contribution to society as well as to gain at least a perspective regarding educational policy.
