Oklahoma School for the Deaf OSD provides a language-rich environment where everyone is empowered, encouraged, and able to grow.

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD) is a residential school that offers educational options for Deaf children ages two through twenty-one. The campus occupies a 97-acre site in Sulphur, Oklahoma and includes a residential capacity of 230.

🎓✨ What an exciting time for one of our seniors! ✨🎓

Zella has officially started her online classes through the Charge Ahead Dual Enrollment (CADE) Program with Gallaudet University!

Through this incredible opportunity, she will be able to earn university credits while still in high school, putting her one step closer to her future goals before she graduates next May! 🎉

We are so excited for her and incredibly proud of her commitment to her education. We look forward to watching her grow, learn, and successfully complete these courses! 🌟

We were totally impressed by our satellite preschool program in Moore! Our teacher had her students exploring numbers and color categories, while also learning how to mix primary colors to discover brand-new colors!

Our middle and high school students were SO excited this morning to welcome new students and staff into their Houses! 💚

Each House is a place where students can build friendships, encourage one another, and support each other throughout the school year. Along the way, they’ll earn points by demonstrating positive behavior, academic achievement, strong attendance, school spirit, community service, leadership, and participation in school activities.

We’re excited to see our students grow, lead, encourage, and cheer each other on all year long! Let the House spirit begin! 🎉🏆

Our students continue to inspire us with their willingness to learn, grow, and discover new skills! 🛠️💚

Last week, one of our high school students with a passion for woodshop had the opportunity to learn from our maintenance supervisor. He was guided through proper tool safety and was involved in every step of creating a beautiful wooden box.

From learning how to safely use the equipment to completing the final details, he put in the time, effort, and creativity—and the pride on his face when he finished his project said it all! 👏

We look forward to seeing more incredible wood projects from him as he continues learning alongside our maintenance supervisor throughout the school year!

At OSD, we are committed to helping our students thrive by providing meaningful, hands-on experiences and the skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
