Please join us in welcoming Kelly Browder to the Sullivan's Island Elementary family as our new PE/Movement teacher! She will be joining Mrs. Cassell to add more movement opportunities for our Skimmers! Mrs. Browder brings 28 years of experience in education and a passion for helping students develop healthy, active lifestyles. When she's not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, boating, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks. Originally from Lexington, North Carolina, Mrs. Blackerby earned both her undergraduate degree and Master's in Special Education from UNC Chapel Hill. She brings three years of experience as an elementary special education teacher in Raleigh and is excited to begin this new chapter in Charleston. Mrs. Perez brings 18 years of experience teaching music and integrating the arts across the curriculum. A National Board Certified Teacher, she is passionate about helping students discover the joy of music while building creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and performing in local musical theatre productions.
