Day 2 of the Illinois State FFA Convention! 💙💛

What an amazing day!

We kicked off the morning session by recognizing Kolton Wiley for earning the State-Winning Proficiency Award in Agricultural Repair and Maintenance – Entrepreneurship! 🚜

Before the afternoon session began, Kolton had the honor of serving in the flag ceremony, proudly carrying an American flag into the session.

During the afternoon session, Kolton was recognized once again as he was named the Illinois STAR in Agribusiness! We also had the privilege of watching both Kolton Wiley and Tristan Wright receive their Illinois FFA State Degrees.

The State Degree is the highest degree a state association can bestow upon its members, and fewer than 2% of Illinois FFA members earn this prestigious honor.

Congratulations, Kolton and Tristan! We are incredibly proud of your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments. Your chapter is proud to celebrate you! 🎉

We had a busy and exciting Day 1 at the 98th Illinois State FFA Convention!

During today’s sessions, we listened to four retiring addresses from the Major State Officers, each sharing valuable experiences and words of encouragement.

During the second session, Sarina Voegel was recognized for being recommended to receive her American FFA Degree, which she will officially receive in Indianapolis this October. Congratulations, Sarina!

Our chapter was also honored to be recognized as a Bronze Level Chapter.

After a great day at the convention, we returned to the hotel to relax and enjoy some time swimming. Now, we’re getting ready for an exciting Day 2!

During Session 4 on Wednesday, we’ll celebrate Kolton as he is recognized for being named a finalist for the Star in Agribusiness award in Illinois! We’ll also find out if he takes home the top honor in this category. A streaming link will be shared later—stay tuned!💙💛

Yesterday, we had the honor of showing our respect and gratitude to the brave men and women who risked their lives for our freedom. We placed flags at the cemetery in memory of our fallen soldiers, and we were grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that has given us so much.❤️💙🤍
