Come join Sullivan County Soil and Water Conservation District and Purdue Extension Sullivan County as we explore the amazing natural world around us!

Throughout the course, participants will learn about local wildlife, plants, forests, waterways, conservation, and so much more, all while connecting with other nature-minded people!

Whether you're an experienced nature enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome!

🌿 Registration is NOW OPEN for the Fall 2026 Indiana Master Naturalist Class! 🌿

Purdue Extension Sullivan County, in partnership with the Sullivan County Soil and Water Conservation District, is excited to offer this evening class, meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m., October 5 through November 11.

Join us as we explore Indiana's natural resources, wildlife, ecology, and conservation through engaging sessions led by local experts.

Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge, connect with fellow nature enthusiasts, or become a volunteer in your community, this program is for you!

This year, Purdue Extension is reorganizing into a regional model across Indiana. Sullivan County is in Region 8 with six other counties: Clay, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and Owen.
We had a request for a staff photo recently and were happy to oblige. We also grabbed this selfie just for fun.

Sullivan County Extension Homemakers are working hard today making lots of homemade noodles to be served at the Fair!!!

Who’s ready for the Sullivan County Extension Homemakers home cooked meals at the Sullivan County 4-H Fair?! The Extension Homemakers council met this afternoon to make their shopping list and set their noodle making and corn shucking days in preparation for the fair!
They choose to use local eggs for their meals, potato salad and all other foods they prepare.
🥚 🐓 If you have chickens and have extra eggs you’d like to donate or provide at a discount between now and June 17, please drop them off at the Extension office M-F between 8am and 4pm. They would greatly appreciate it!
🍀 Sullivan County 4-H Fair is July 11-18, 2026.

Join us for Household Plant Propagation 101 and learn easy ways to grow new plants from cuttings and divisions. Bailey Drapper, our local Purdue Extension - Sullivan County Educator, will be sharing tips and techniques for propagating favorites like pothos, spider plants, and more.

There may even be extra plants to share!
