Last Friday, I was profoundly honored and incredibly humbled to be named one of the Women of the Year for the 8th Congressional District of Congressman John Garamendi!

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my colleague, Sindy, who nominated me—I was completely unaware of the nomination and truly speechless! I also want to give a special thank you to Juanita for attending the ceremony. It means the world to have that support.

I am inspired by the diverse achievements of my fellow honorees. Their passion and leadership are making huge impacts in our community, which furthers my commitment to continuing the vital work of advocacy for families and children in Solano County. To be recognized alongside them is a high commendation.

To be permanently entered into the official Congressional Record by this Women of the Year Award was a tremendous honor. I sincerely thank Representative Garamendi for this meaningful recognition of community service.
