Dear Fellow Retired Educators,

As summer draws to a close, the season for reconnection is upon us - a time to reflect on the months behind us, celebrate one another's company, and turn our attention once again to the meaningful work of supporting our educational community.

It is my genuine pleasure to welcome each of you back and to share my enthusiasm for the year ahead. Whether we find ourselves advocating for causes close to our hearts, gathering over a shared meal, or simply enjoying one another's company, I have no doubt this year will be filled with purpose and joy.

As we set our sights on the year ahead, I invite each of you to come prepared with ideas - for the initiatives we pursue, the causes we champion, and the presence we wish to bring to our community. Your voice and experience are what make this organization thrive.

State President, Dr. Sallie Mills will be attending.
You are asked to wear navy blue or gold....the state colors this year.

Opportunities at The Fountains for CGREA:

The bingo game is 4:00 and they eat dinner at 5:00. I’ve got the prizes…it would just be “calling” about 8 to 10 games. One of us can help out.
First activity starts at 9:30 and goes till 5.

It looks like The Fountains will have activities all day and will culminate at 4:00pm with BINGO!!

Calhoun-Gordon Retired Educators are proud to announce the 2026 recipients of the Scholarships given to area seniors.

Calhoun High School's recipient was Averie Rose Walraven. Bruce Potts presented her award.

Sonoraville High School's Scholarship recipient was Leah Moody. Trace Vaughn presented her award.

Gordon Central High School's Scholarship recipient was Keira Bryson. Her award was presented by Cynthia Lay.

Congratulations to these three young ladies who plan on pursuing a teaching career.

FYI, you can add your spouse and family members. All you need to do is register whoever you contact.
