Good evening, Viking Band Families!
The band had a fantastic first day, and I can’t wait to see all that our students accomplish this year!
Today, students received information about our first fundraiser of the year (attached). Running a successful high school band program takes the support of our entire community, and we’re excited to be partnering with a new fundraising company this year.
Over the next few days, your student will be asking for your help in building their contact list. Our fundraiser officially kicks off at Friday night’s Rock-A-Thon, so our goal is for every student to enter as many contacts as possible into the fundraising app before then. Please take a few minutes to help your student complete their contact list. Additional details can be found in the attached fundraiser information.
Rock-A-Thon – Friday, August 31
Time: 5:00–9:00 PM
Location: Dulles High School Gym Area
The Rock-A-Thon is one of our favorite traditions! We’ll officially launch our fundraiser, then spend the evening relaxing, celebrating a great first week of band, and having fun together. Dinner will be provided for all students.

As a reminder, all volunteers must complete the FBISD background check each school year, even if you’ve volunteered before. If you haven’t renewed yours yet, please do so before Friday:
