Congrats to Adam Schill on earning his Private Pilot Certificate!
Adam is Anson Aviation’s second self-certified pilot under our newly awarded FAA Examining Authority. This authority allows qualifying Part 141 students to earn their certificate after passing the end of course progress check, without the need for a DPE checkride. A huge milestone for both Adam and Anson Aviation. Well done! ✈️

Big news at Anson! ✈️🎉

Justin Nandlal is officially a private pilot! Even better, he’s the first Anson student to earn his certificate under our new self certification program. Huge milestone for Justin and for Anson Aviation.

His checkride was administered by our own Chief Flight Instructor, Ken Wiggins, and Justin absolutely delivered. Leading up to the ride, Justin and his flight instructor Kiran put in the work, meeting multiple times during the week before and it showed. Solid preparation, great flying, and a well earned certificate.

Congrats, Justin! We’re proud of you and excited to see where your flying takes you next.

Welcome the New Year with an interesting and informative aviation seminar!

As pilots in the Houston area, we often operate in and around Class Bravo airspace serving IAH and HOU. We know the requirement to contact ATC when flying into the Bravo, but how well do we understand the approaches into the core airports, how traffic flows through the airspace, and the safety risks of flying directly below the Bravo?

Jeremiah Carlson, Air Traffic Control Specialist at Houston TRACON and Procedures Representative for the Houston NATCA Chapter, will discuss these topics and share valuable insights from the controller perspective.

Register online now and start 2026 with greater airspace awareness and safety.

Activities, Courses, Seminars & Webinars - Online Seminar and Webinar Registration - FAA - FAASTeam - FAASafety.gov As pilots in the Houston area, we tend to take for granted that we fly in and around Class Bravo airspace for both IAH and HOU. We know we must contact ATC if we plan to fly IN the Bravo, and do what they tell us. Have we ever considered how the approaches work at the core airports? How the traffic....
