In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are proud to share that our program successfully completed the OST CARES 3rd Cohort in partnership with TXPOST Texas Partnership for Out of School Time. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to supporting mental health awareness and promoting the overall well-being of the youth we serve through meaningful prevention and support strategies.

The students made watermelon and parrot crafts, bringing a little summer fun! 🍉🦜

The students created “cup phones” using paper cups and string to explore how sound travels. They tested their phones with friends and learned how communication works through vibrations and sound waves.

This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, listening skills, problem-solving, and creativity while making learning exciting and interactive. The students loved experimenting and talking to each other through their STEM phones!

Our program provides students with a creative and relaxing environment where they can express themselves and have fun while learning new skills. The students enjoyed exploring different colors and painting techniques, and their creativity truly shined through in their artwork. 🎨🖌️

Our students created calming glitter jars as a fun mindfulness activity! As the glitter slowly settled, students practiced deep breathing, relaxation, and finding moments of calm. Activities like these help encourage emotional wellness, focus, and self-regulation in a creative and engaging way. 💙✨
