Today, our Riverstone Montessori Sugar Land students celebrated the birthday of the incredible Dr. Maria who evolved methodolgy of creative innovative teaching process of "Montessori"! 🎂📚 We took some time to learn about her life, her work, and the lasting impact she has had on children and education around the world.

Dr. Maria evolver of Montessori methodolgy was a true pioneer who believed that children are capable, curious, independent learners when they are given the right environment and opportunities to explore. 🌎❤️ She dedicated her life to understanding how children learn and developed an educational approach centered around independence, hands-on learning, respect, discovery, and following each child’s individual interests and development.

Her ideas changed the way people thought about childhood and education. She showed the world that children don't simply need to be told what to learn—they need the freedom, tools, and encouragement to discover and learn for themselves. 🌱

Today, we at Riverstone Montessori celebrate not only the woman who started this incredible movement, but the legacy she left behind that continues to touch the lives of children everywhere—including our very own students here at Riverstone Montessori. 💚

What an incredible turnout! 💙 We are so grateful to all of the families who took the time to join us, connect with our teachers, and learn more about the meaningful work happening in our classrooms. 📚

A very special thank you to our amazing Lead Teachers for the time, preparation, and dedication they put into making Curriculum Night so informative and engaging. Your passion for Montessori education truly shines through! 🍎🌿

One of the most important parts of a child’s education is creating a strong partnership between school and home. 🤝❤️ When parents understand what their children are learning and, just as importantly, how they are learning it, they can find simple ways to extend those experiences at home.

In Riverstone Montessori, learning doesn’t stop when a child leaves the classroom. 🌎 Whether it’s encouraging independence by allowing your child to get dressed on their own, inviting them to help prepare a meal, practicing grace and courtesy, exploring nature, or simply giving them time to work through a challenge independently—the little moments at home can make a big difference.🥣👕🌱

These past two weeks have been filled with new routines, new lessons, new friendships, and so many exciting moments! Our students are settling into their classrooms, learning their daily schedules, and already growing so much each day. 💛

Our teachers have been hard at work creating meaningful lessons and engaging activities that make learning fun, hands-on, and exciting! We are so proud of how well everyone is settling in and getting comfortable in their new classrooms. 📚🌱

🍕👨‍🍳 A Slice of Learning!👩‍🍳🍕

Today at Riverstone Montessori Sugar Land, our Summer Camp friends had an amazing field trip to Parry's Pizza, and what an incredible experience it was! 🍕

The kids got to go behind the scenes with a kitchen tour, watch the pizza-making process from start to finish, play with fresh pizza dough, and even top their own pizzas with cheese before they were baked! 🧀✨

Experiences like these bring learning to life by giving children a hands-on look at how a restaurant operates while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independence. It was the perfect blend of fun and real-world learning!

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Parry's Pizzeria for making our students feel so welcome and for taking the time to teach them about cooking, teamwork, and what goes into making the perfect pizza. Your kindness and enthusiasm made this a field trip to remember! ❤️🍕
