MSSL will open on Tuesday 9/5 for all of our families. To help support our community in this challenging time we are also accepting children on a daily drop-off basis for both preschool and full-day coverage for FBISD students. 100% of the net proceeds from drop-in students will be donated to charities engaged in helping our community during this crisis. The safety of our students, staff and any visitors to our schools…

A storm has formed in the gulf and is projected to strike the Texas coast. Sugar Land remains within the cone of probability. The city has increased its readiness level from four (normal readiness) to three (increased readiness). Prepare now for heavy rains through the weekend that could contribute to local street flooding. Do not drive through flooded roads, avoid parking on the streets, keep storm drains clear and secure loose items around homes. For preparedness information, visit http://bit.ly/2irFA5k.

The storm is now expected to make landfall as at least a category 3 hurricane. If you are new to the area, due to the rotation of these storms we will be on what is considered to be the "dirty" side. This means while we are not the landfall point, we will feel many effects such as heavy rain and probably tropical storm strength winds. TODAY is the day you should complete preparations. Buy groceries including items that you can eat or prepare without electricity. Ensure you have batteries for flashlights. Secure items in your yard. Most importantly, PLEASE plan on staying home Saturday and Sunday. We expect major flooding and you don't want to be "that guy" who ends up getting flooded out in their car.
