More states adopt college entrance exam touted by conservatives despite concerns 05/03/2026

A new college entrance exam is making waves. The Classic Learning Test (CLT) — built around classic Western literature and philosophy — is now accepted by U.S. military service academies, required by Indiana's state universities, and approved at UNC Chapel Hill. Over 350 universities currently accept it alongside the SAT and ACT.
