Shivangini Academy, located in the Houston area (Sugar Land, TX) is a unique school focusing on teaching the beautiful dances and musical instruments of northern India. The dance wing of the school focuses on teaching Kathak based Bhav Nritya, and other traditional folk dances. The percussion instruments wing of the school focuses on teaching Tabla and Dholak. Shiva Aunty pours her heart and soul into every student, giving far more than the art forms she teaches. Through her unwavering dedication, she teaches discipline, humility, perseverance, and the values that shape us both as artists and as people.

Today, we offer our deepest gratitude for her guidance, sacrifices, and endless belief in each of us. The greatest way we can honor our Guru is not through words, but through our sincerity, hard work, and commitment to carrying this tradition forward.
