It’s September, where are you in your college planning? Things to do…
1. Meet with college representatives that are visiting on your campus. 2. Schedule a campus visit to the college you’re interested in if you haven’t done so already. 3. Begin asking teachers, guidance counselors, community organizations and employers for letters of recommendation. Please don’t wait until the last minute to ask for letters of recommendation. Time is winding down! In a few more weeks you’ll be headed back to school for one of the most amazing years of your life! What have you done to prepare yourself for your senior year in high school? Here’s a simple to do list for starters.
1. Create an appropriate email address for college applications and scholarship correspondences.
2. Prepare a personal filing system for college information.
3. Create a personal calendar of important events and deadlines.
4. Review college admissions requirements and deadlines.
5. Apply early! Many colleges have early admission deadlines of October 1st. So don’t miss out on getting into your dream school!
