Today we say farewell to one of our longest student,

He is taking the next steps in life and heading off to college!

We watched him grow not only as a martial artist, but as a person. The discipline, confidence, perseverance, and friendships you’ve built here will stay with you long after you leave the mats.

A huge thank you to Saraiva BJJ - Nova União Atlanta and everyone else for welcoming us with such generosity. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from the best and experience the culture.

We are reminded that growth comes from staying humble and always being willing to learn.

Thank you to all of our students who made the trip and represented our academy with great attitudes, respect, and hard work. I’m proud to call this group my team.

At Eudaimonia Jiu Jitsu, we believe martial arts should help children grow both on and off the mats. Through games, teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving, our students develop skills that last a lifetime.

Hearing these kids share what Jiu-Jitsu means to them is exactly why we do what we do.

My favorite part of coaching.

It’s not the medals, promotions, or competition results.

It’s moments like these.

Watching kids learn, solve problems, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of. Seeing them develop resilience, respect, and a growth mindset that they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

If we can help shape stronger, kinder, and more confident young people, then we’re doing something that matters.

Grateful every day for the opportunity to do what I love.

Eudaimonia is about striving to become a better version of ourselves every day. Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just about collecting techniques—it’s about developing discipline, humility, and a mindset of continuous growth. No matter your rank or experience level, there’s always something new to learn.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn from and this weekend. Thank you both for sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion for the art. Looking forward to taking these lessons back to the mats and continuing the journey.

What an incredible day on the mats.

We had the privilege of learning from Lesley “Blade” Edwards, and the impact went far beyond techniques and positions. Every student walked away with new details to add to their game, but more importantly, they left inspired by his journey, experience, and the lessons he’s learned along the way.

The room was filled with great energy, open minds, and a shared passion for getting better. Seeing kids, teens, and adults all training together, asking questions, and soaking up knowledge is what makes the jiu-jitsu community so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out, trained hard, and helped create such an amazing atmosphere. And a huge thank you to Blade for sharing not only his knowledge, but also his story.

Days like these remind us that jiu-jitsu is about more than techniques—it’s about growth, perseverance, and the people we meet along the journey. 🙏🥋

People always say, “Pressure makes diamonds.”

That’s true… but they’ve clearly never had a black belt settle into side control.

Suddenly the pressure from work, bills, deadlines, and life’s problems doesn’t seem nearly as bad.

One of the hidden lessons of Jiu-Jitsu is learning how to stay calm under pressure.

And by pressure, I mean a black belt slowly compressing you into the earth while making it look effortless.

After enough rounds like that, everyday problems start feeling a lot more manageable.
