Every year, Mallinson and Sugar Creek students AND adults are challenged to read 40 books during the school year!

Students will keep track of their books in their Leadership Binders, and families can keep track at home, too.

📖 Books count whether they are read to you or read on your own — it all counts!

Our fundraiser is officially off and running! We have already raised $250 online towards our $4,000.00 goal!

Good morning!

The day before school at our house is always busy. This year is no different, except I have a son starting middle school at Bridger. He is leaving the comfort of his elementary school and friend group and now has a chance meet new staff and new classmates. My youngest son, who is going into 3rd grade, is timid. Although he is still in his elementary comfort zone, having any new teacher makes him nervous.

Today, we will lay out their first day clothes and make sure our “Back to School” signs are ready. We will attempt to go to bed at our school night time so we will be well rested.

We will do all these things and I will continue to reassure them that tomorrow they will look for the kind kids. The kind kids are exactly the friends they want to make and the friend they want to be. Below is a post I have saved for years.

Today, my wish for every back-to- school parent is that we all have similar conversation: be the kind kid and find the kind kids.
