Tidewater Community College Workforce Solutions is looking for a Lead Program Instructor – Practical Nursing Education to join our team in Suffolk!

​In this key leadership role, you will work closely with our Program Coordinator to shape course curriculum, guide and support instructional faculty, oversee clinical processes, and ensure Virginia Board of Nursing compliance.

​📍 Location: Suffolk, VA
⏰ Schedule: Part-Time | 29 hours/week
(Mon–Wed 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Thu 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
💰 Pay Rate: $39.25 / hour

​✅ Qualifications Needed:
➡️Active, unrestricted RN or LPN license

Willie "Big Willie" Sawyer! ✨🎓

​When Willie took the stage as our Fall 2026 student speaker, he didn't just deliver a speech—he lit up the entire room with his undeniable energy and raw authenticity. 🌟

​Sharing his journey through the Culinary Arts program, Big Willie opened up about where he started. ​He kept it real about the highs and lows of his workforce education journey—from overcoming shyness to balancing personal responsibilities, sharpening his knife skills, and mastering the fast-paced reality of restaurant life. He reminded his classmates that being a chef is about far more than just cooking: it takes patience, discipline, team communication, and sheer grit. 👨‍🍳🔥

​"There were times when I doubted myself or felt overwhelmed, but I learned to keep pushing forward and not give up," Willie said.
