Beginning Monday, June 8 - Friday, August 7, 2026, all schools and departments will transition to a four-day work week. Summer office hours will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with the following exceptions:

Facilities Department: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Technology Department 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Juneteenth Holiday will be observed on Thursday, June 18th and Independence Day will be observed on Thursday, July 2nd. Therefore, all schools and departments will be closed on June 18th, June 19th, July 2nd and July 3rd.

Normal office hours will resume on Monday, August 10th.

Students in grades 3-5 will start SOL testing next week.
May 5th: Reading
May 7th: IRW (5th Grade Only)
May 12th: Math
May 19: Science (5th Grade Only) and VA Studies (4th Grade Only)

Elementary & Middle School: May 4–29
High School: May 11–29
Each school will share your child’s exact testing dates, so keep an eye out!

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow, April 23rd at 6pm for dinner, SOL activities, a bike raffle and more. If you have not RSVP’d, please do so using the QR code at the bottom of the flyer.

Suffolk Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, for a Student/Staff Holiday. We will reopen on Wednesday, April 22.

If you ordered a field day T-shirt, you can pick them up tomorrow during parent teacher conferences!

NOTE: Pending official School Board approval, April 21 will be observed as a staff and student holiday due to several of our school buildings being utilized as polling locations for an upcoming special election. This decision is being made with the priority of ensuring the safety and security of our students and staff. The School Board is scheduled to hold an official vote to approve this calendar adjustment during its meeting on April 16, 2026.
