Dr. Montessori believed every child has a natural desire to learn. For a struggling learner, that desire often feels buried under years of "I can't." π§
That's where Educational Therapy comes in. Not by replacing that drive to learn, but by helping a child build real capacity through productive struggle, until their brain proves to them that it can change. That belief β I can β is what Educational Therapy is built to create.
What's a moment you watched a child realize "I can do this"? π

Level III complete. β
This group just finished NILD Educational Therapy Level III β pushing deep into mediation, cognitive functions, and information processing, then using psychological and educational assessments to find what's actually going on with a student, strengths and weaknesses both.
What they walk away with: sharper instincts, a deeper command of Level I & II techniques, and real clinical confidence. They're now one step closer to becoming Professionally Certified Educational Therapists (PCET).
Huge congrats to this cohort at ! π

Most attention interventions focus on managing behavior. This one goes deeper. ποΈ
In this clip, Prof. Roman Gouzman speaks to the power of Feuerstein Tactile IE β a hands-on, Touch-Motion-Sound approach that works directly on the cognitive pathways behind attention, impulse control, and self-regulation.
For students with ADHD, it's not about getting them to sit still. It's about retraining how they explore and process information.
NILD is offering FIE Tactile for Attention this July in Suffolk, VA β a natural next layer for educators already working within the Feuerstein framework.

The brain can change. Not as a motivational statement β as a biological fact. π§
Prof. Falik spent his career showing that cognitive structure isn't fixed. It's shaped by experience, mediation, and the right kind of challenge.
Sometimes the students who seem furthest behind just haven't had the right conditions yet. That's a very different problem...and a much more solvable one.
FIE Cognitive Enrichment Level 1 is built on exactly this premise β and there's still time to join us this June in Suffolk, VA.

What's one thing that's shifted how you see a struggling student's potential? π

Professor Feuerstein didn't see broken learners β he saw untapped potential waiting for the right mediator. π
That belief is already at the core of your NILD practice. FIE CE 1 gives you more instruments to act on it.

There's clock time β and then there's the moment when something clicks.
This Thursday, NILD Executive Director Dr. Kristin Barbour joins Learning Ally's Spotlight on Dyslexia to unpack exactly that difference β and what it means for students who struggle to read.

"NILD has changed my life in ways I couldn't have imagined."
We are proud to announce Rhiannon Rexilius and Jennifer Tackett as the 2025-2026 Bridget Hughes Lifelong Learner Scholarship recipients. π
Rhiannon is advancing her Level II NILD Educational Therapy training, bringing new skills and deeper capacity to the students she serves every day.
Jennifer has spent four years pursuing every course, workshop, and webinar that would help her students β and she is now just one course away from becoming a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist (PCET). Her principal recently observed one of her sessions and told the Head of School it was the most transformative hour she had witnessed in the entire Kβ12 school.
Two educators. Countless students whose stories are about to change.
The Bridget Hughes Lifelong Learner Scholarship exists for educators like them β people called to this work who simply needed someone to help them take the next step. Because when you invest in an educator, you are investing in every student they will ever serve.
Every gift equips an educator. Every educator reaches students. The ripple is real.
Be part of what grows next. π
