Last week, the Brothers of Epsilin Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. partnered with the Suffolk Library and the Suffolk Sheriff's Office for Real Heroes Read.
During the event, we discussed healthy eating habits with the children, played games, and donated food and backpacks.
Grateful for the community partnerships, and it's only up from here.

Last Thursday, the Brothers of EIΛ participated in one of four events over 4 days. National Night Out was a great event. The Brothers appreciate the partnerships and collaborations with all community stakeholders.

Friendly Reminder: Join the Brothers of Epsilon Iota Lambda at
Wilson Pines Apartments on Wednesday, August 12, at 4:30 PM for our next Real Heroes Read session.
We’ll be cleaning up the community, reading with the kids, and having plenty of fun through games and interactive activities. This week, we will be discussing healthy eating and foods that can be more beneficial for their health. We will also be passing out school supplies to kids in the community.
If you’re available, we’d love for you to come out and serve alongside us as we continue building relationships and showing our children the importance of reading.

Over 100 communities, homeowner’s associations, civic organizations, neighborhoods, churches, and business sponsors are partnering to make this year’s event extra special, with block parties, cookouts, and mini-festivals across Suffolk.

The 2025 Brother of the Year was presented at this year's Black & Gold Gala. The brother recognized and awarded as Brother of the Year is Brother W. Anthony Brown Jr.
Brother Brown is a Sp 22 initiate, serves as the chapter's Social Media & Publicity Chair, serves on Go to High School Go to College and Community Engagement, and is the first appointed Chaplain for the NPHC Suffolk Chapter. Brother Brown aims to educate our youth, establish community partnerships between the chapter and community leaders, and believes in brotherhood, which most can agree he exemplifies, as evidenced by his line name, “SelPHless”.
