Lakeland Cavaliers High School Football

Our Cavalier Football family is extremely proud and honored to celebrate our seniors as they signed their commitment letters today. Justin Royes will be attending Virginia Union University, Jakobe Little will be attending Christopher Newport University, and Tyler Davis will be attending Juniata College. All three of these young men exemplify everything the program strives to be. They have all lettered in multiple sports each earning numerous college offers, they have excelled academically and have been leaders and role models for their younger teammates. We wish you all well and look forward to following your college careers.

Tuesday, April 4th these exceptional young men will sign their letters of intent to play college football at their respective schools. The ceremony will take place at 10:30 in the auditorium for those who wish to attend.

Congratulations to three of our Lineman that have commited and will be continuing their football careers at the next level!! Justin Royes will attend Virginia Union University , Jakobe Little will attend Christopher Newport University and Tyler Davis will attend Juniata College. We are very proud of them and wish them well. We will keep you all posted on when signing day will be as soon as it is determined by the administration.

We want to once again thank everyone that works behind the scenes to support these young men! Thank you to the Varsity parents, grandparents and coaches’ families that stepped up to work in concessions. Also a huge thank you to our Varsity players that worked the grill, acted as hydration specialists and were on the sidelines with the JV team to help and encourage them. We always need more volunteers to join our Lakeland Football family, please contact Jennifer White Davis or a member of the coaching staff for more information on Boosters or volunteer opportunities.

What a great night, our Cavaliers beat Manor 25-10 in the season opener and first game on the new turf field! Congratulations to our young men and the coaching staff!! A huge thank you to everyone that put in the work to make last night a success from last minute work on the field and equipment to our awesome workers in the concession stand. We are thankful that you all are a part of our Cavalier family.

Going forward we are forming a new football booster club, anyone interested in serving in a leadership position please let Jennifer White Davis know. We would like to have 100% of our families participate in the booster club. The booster club is an integral part of our program and will raise money for equipment, team meals, activities for the players, as well as Senior Night gifts and activities.

Also, if you ordered shirts they are here and available for pick up on Tuesday from 5pm- 7pm at practice!
