A new year, a new IB scholar representing as the SEF student voice! We are proud of Josiah and look forward to his contributions to the Suffolk Education Foundation!

SEF WELCOMES NEW STUDENT VOICE TO ITS BOARD

The Suffolk Education Foundation board of directors is excited to welcome a new voice to the conversation for the 2023-24 school year.

Josiah Patrick, a senior in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at King's Fork High School, will join the board offering insight on how the Education Foundation can better serve the students in Suffolk VA Public Schools

The IB Class of 2023 crammed a whole bunch into an educational, celebratory trip to Washington DC at the beginning of June.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket! High school is your time to find what you are truly interested in, so don’t be scared to venture out of your comfort zone.

If there is one thing to be said about the IB students at KFHS, it is that this group of students is highly motivated, dedicated and always willing to serve.

We currently have three IB seniors in the running for the Class of 2023 officer positions: Miss Noelle Ingram, Senior Class President, Miss Anna Gomer, Senior Class Vice President and Miss Sydney Barnes, Senior Class Secretary.

We can think of no one better to take charge and get things done for the graduating Class of 2023! Please send these ladies all of the good luck and wishes as they run for election this week.

Ladies, we are so very proud of each of you.

Congratulations to our very own, Sydney Barnes, who has been nominated by her peers to be a part of the Homecoming 2022 Court. We are proud of Sydney daily for her efforts both in and out of the classroom, this recent accolade is just more proof of how wonderful she is and her impact on her peers. Looking forward to a great week celebrating her and the rest of the homecoming royalty. Good luck, Sydney, as you campaign for Homecoming Queen 2022.

You can catch Sydney and many of our clubs and teams at the "Light Up the Night" homecoming parade on Friday, October 7th @ 6pm at the KFHS bus loop.
