In observance of Spring Break, there will be no food deliveries April 5- April 10.

To accommodate this change we will deliver 10 days worth of meals on Friday, April 2 at the normal stops and times. These meals are packed in multiple boxes and bags weighing over 10 pounds each.

Please plan accordingly for pick up.

The Suffolk Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services Department is hosting another "Nourishing Our Neighbors" community event this Thursday, March 25, at Booker T. Washington Elementary School from 5 pm - 6 pm.

PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE TO LINE UP BEFORE 4:30 p.m., in order to allow room for our student buses to leave at the end of the school day,

This is a drive-thru event. Please be aware of volunteers wearing bright orange vests, who will be directing traffic. All produce items will be prepared and packaged separately.

The following items will be available

- A 16-pound box consisting of Potatoes, Oranges, Zucchini, Onions, Apples, Tomatoes, and Peppers
- Bananas
- Green Beans
- Strawberries
- Squash

Children do not need to be present to receive produce items. Please follow all CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask.

In partnership with the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, “Nourishing Our Neighbors" allows SPS to provide fresh produce to families at no cost.

A special thank you goes out to Suffolk Public Schools Nutritional Services for putting these events together for the community!

[03/14/21]   Below are some reminders as we prepare to reopen the building this week:

1. Monday, March 15th is for Hybrid A- Day students only.

2. Please communicate with your child’s teacher the mode of transportation your child should take home (car, school bus, or after school program)

3. If you’ve chosen to wait until this week to drop off medicine or take care of other business matters at school please remember visits to the school are by appointment only and we will only allow 3 people in the front foyer at once.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE (NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS)

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Friday, February 12 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. There will be NO school for students. Conferences are also available by request on Wednesday, February 10 and Thursday, February 11; virtually or by phone from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.

In observance of Presidents Day, there will be NO food deliveries on Monday, February 15. To accommodate this change, families will receive two days worth of meals on Wednesday, February 10, at the normal delivery stops and times. There will be no change in Thursday's delivery, as families will still receive two days worth of meals to cover Friday.
