It's normal to take dozens of photos to get just a few great one! Remember that when you scroll through amazing looking insta accounts -- what you're not seeing are the mountains of outtakes. Don't let yourself get hypercriitical when selecting photos to share - instead, remind yourself that a split second capture doesn't represent all of what you do, and that's why we mindfully choose the best ones to showcase ourselves!

Remember that you can tailor your content to your goals! If you want to get certain things - go ahead and ask for it when you share your content. Want someone to send you a testimonial? Ask! Want to get hired for a gig or speaking opportunity? Directly tell people how they can work with you and ASK them to message you about it. When we ask for what we want - we open the door to receiving it.

BUILD A PORTFOLIO THAT SHOWCASES YOU (and share it!) We can't say it enough. When there IS an opportunity for press coverage or whatever else it may be - if you already have a great professional looking EPK or great looking digital content, it's you who will get showcased because you're ready for it. Remember that luck happens when opportunity meets preparation.

MAKE IT VISIBLE should be a mantra for any creatives out there seeking opportunities. If you have a performance, get the best footage you can and make sure you share some publicly - whether it's a performance on a big stage or at home to your cat and your roommate! When you visibly share what you're good at, it makes people take you seriously and helps them remember to consider you for opportunities.
