🥳WE DID IT🥳

Teaching in 2020 is OVER! Here’s to a relaxing, well-deserved break for us all 👏🏼 This is where you’ll find me majority of break 😴 time to catch up on some zzz’s & play with my pup!

Congrats to us all! We DID the dang thing! Let’s hope for a more normal 2021 🤞🏼 but until then, let’s kick our feet up and do all the things we love ❤️

✨FA LA LA MINGO! ✨

Here’s my Christmas door this year 🎄 I found this cute flamingo wrapping paper at , did a quick google search of “flamingo Christmas puns”, cut the letters out with my (plus some cute small flamingos for my second door with my students names) and VOILA, my door was born 😂

❗️R E M I N D E R❗️

Reminder: You don’t need to have an “Instagram-worthy” at-home teacher desk to be a good remote teacher. 👏🏼

I’m back to teaching from home for the next two weeks due to being exposed to COVID (I tested negative 👍🏼) and I was not excited to be confined to my upstairs loft again. I can’t stand up without hitting my head, the lighting is terrible, and my space to work is limited.

BUT THEN I REMEMBERED... I don’t need to have a picture perfect teaching space that ‘everyone’ has on this platform to be a good teacher. I can be great in the space I am in and still engage with my students. You should remember that too.

And that’s the tea... ☕️

🤗 S U N D A Y 🤗

Who else here loves Sundays?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I don’t know about you, but they are one of my favorite days of the week. Something about a new week means new goals, ideas, and projects are right around the corner 😍 I love spending my Sundays prepping for the upcoming week!

Some ways I do this are:
✨ Prep my lunch menu
✨ Grocery shop
✨ Plan assignments out on Classroom
✨ Write my weekly schedule out with work, grad school, & tutoring, etc.
✨ Have some ME time (workout, nails, face mask, a good book, etc.)
And so much more!

🔵 B U B B L E S 🔵

Today my 6th graders wrapped up their first unit and we did the Bubble Lab! It was so nice to have them do hands on learning today and they were SO EXCITED 😍 it brought back all my happiness to see them happy!

😌 O R G A N I Z A T I O N 😌

Hi guys! 👋🏼 it’s been so long since I’ve been on here! The start to school has been super busy as always 😅 From Back to School Night, adjusting to moving from classroom to classroom, two grad school classes and consciously trying to be more organized — I’ve been exhausted 😴 BUT, I am back & trying to get back into my groove!

Organization is one of the many things I struggle with (shockingly) but this year I decided to buy a bookcase, label some binders & get SUPER organized for this year. I need it for my own personal sanity 🤪 These binders have been a HUGE help being right next to my desk. This keeps me actively aware of putting my printouts into the correct binder so I don’t have to print each and every year 😅

I got this awesome cart delivered this past weekend from and it’s great! The shelves are moveable and there’s so much space (as you can see 😅) for many items!

🍎 F I R S T D A Y 🍎

Day 1 complete! ✅ It was SO incredibly nice to see my kids again and have human interactions. There’s still lots of kinks to work out, but WE 👏🏼 GOT 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼

❣️T O M O R R O W❣️

Tomorrow is the first day of year three and let me tell you, I am feeling ALL the emotions 🥴 I am excited to be back in the class room five days a week with my kids, but boy am I feeling very anxious.

I am the person to always need a plan and the unknowns and uncertainties of this year really are messing with my head 😥 I know that there will be a few kinks to work out as we get through the first week, but right now I just want it all figured out!

While these worries are at the forefront of my mind, I really am excited to see my students from last year and meet my new 6th graders! It has been so long since I’ve seen them all together 🤗 I am determined for all of us to have a wonderful year, despite my anxieties!
