Best easy-open lunch containers for little hands

Those popular little bento containers are cute but tough for little hands - and older hands too.

For INDEPENDENCE: Look for easy-open containers, thicker reusable bags that little hands can actually open, and easy-unzip pouches for sandwiches.

Back-to-school life skills: what to pack when the first week is 90 degrees
The first week of school always seems to be unbearably hot!!

We like to tell families to check what the weather will actually be like.

Two things that help:
1. Ice water in a container that doesn’t leak
2. Sunscreen already applied for younger children or in their backpack for older children
