All are welcome to join us for our first board meeting to be held virtually this Thursday, Sept 3rd, at 7pm. We’ll be discussing plans for the coming months as well as hearing updates from the district. We also plan to review the “Policy JKAA - Physical Restraint, Time Out, and Seclusion” recently proposed by SPS, a critical topic on which we would love to hear community members’ perspectives.

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐝𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦!

TOPSoccer is for children in PreK–8th grade with physical, visual, and/or intellectual disabilities. The program is designed so kids can play and learn soccer at their own pace, with activities and equipment adapted based on what works best for each player.

Sundays, 1:00–2:00 PM
September 13–November 8 (no October 11)
Cutting Field, 429 Maynard Road
$25 for the season

They are also looking for high school students to serve as Junior Coach buddies. Each player is paired with a buddy who stays with them during the session and helps with the different activities and games. No soccer experience is needed, and the time can count toward Lincoln-Sudbury community service hours.

As summer gets underway, CMHRC has an upcoming event about heat and mental health. This event is targeted toward clinicians but open to families and individuals as well.

Special Town Meeting – Parking Information Update

A Special Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7PM in Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Gymnasium. As there are other events taking place at the High School that evening, voters are advised to allow ample time for parking and walking to the gymnasium. In addition, please note that the Town Meeting venue is the L-SRHS Gymnasium and not the Auditorium, as during the Annual Town Meeting earlier this month.

Other events taking place at L-SRHS on Wednesday 5/20 evening will be held in the Auditorium and Cafeteria. As the L-S parking lot is anticipated to have a high volume of vehicles entering and exiting at once, particularly around 7PM, drivers are asked to proceed with added caution and watch for pedestrians.

The parking spaces by the High School front entrance will be reserved for accessible parking only.

Overflow parking will be available at Nixon Elementary School and Featherland Park, however capacity at Featherland will be somewhat reduced as sports will be in progress on the athletic fields until 10PM. Additional lighting will be in place at the crosswalks between Featherland Park and the High School for those returning to vehicles at Featherland at the conclusion of Town Meeting. Please note that parking is not allowed along Lincoln Road and Concord Road.

If possible, it is recommended that voters:
• Carpool to/from all events held at L-SRHS on May 20
• Drop off voters who use a wheelchair or have other mobility challenges in close proximity to the Gymnasium entrance prior to parking
• Budget extra time to arrive at Town Meeting. The parking lot will be busiest around 7PM.
