In anticipation of a few openings in Fall 2026, we are once again offering one free trial lesson to any new student from now until the end of May, no obligation. For potential beginners, this is a great way to see if your child might like to try violin, viola, cello, or double bass! Trial lessons are a terrific way to test the waters, and see how we teach. Is your child an advanced student? We are active professional performing musicians in the Boston area who have over 25 years of experience teaching students of all levels from beginner to advanced, and we love what we do! Lessons take place in our home studio in North Sudbury, MA. Questions? Feel free to reach out to us for more information.

Hey and just like that we got our second string quartet of 5th and 6th graders going! It’s awesome to see these young musicians learn the fundamentals of ensemble and the joy this perfect blend of instruments brings!

Wish I had been this clever back in the day! Those triplet strollers WERE too big to fit in the car! Kudos to this guy for coming up with such a brilliant solution!!

It's been a whirlwind weekend but I finally have a chance to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed performing a Candlelight Christmas at the Maynard Sanctuary this past Friday and at Newbury Court in Concord for two shows on Saturday! Working with such amazing musicians to a sold out and very joy-filled audiences in beautiful venues is why we do what we do! Bravo to Robb Aistrup and Peter Stickel for organizing and putting together such an enjoyable show. πŸŒŸβ„οΈπŸŒŸβ„οΈπŸŒŸπŸ₯°

Congratulations to my two senior viola students D.L. and S.R. who this past weekend got into Senior Districts, S.R. with an All-State recommendation!!! Your hard work during this incredibly challenging semester of college application deadlines and academics is awe-inspiring! Congratulations also to bass student Y.Z. who earned first chair and an All State Rec as well! And a very special shout out to all my students who auditioned even if you did not get in this year. Nobody can take away the leaps and bounds you made due to your hard work!

Is your rising 3rd or 4th grader signed up for cello or double bass in school orchestra in the fall? Private lessons this summer will help them get off to a great start with solid technique and good habits. Halden Aistrup studies double bass performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and is an experienced instructor of both double bass and cello. Halden has performed as a fellow at the National Orchestra Institute and Tanglewood Young Artists Orchestra. He began cello studies at age 7, and double bass at age 11. He is also an alum of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra program, and a product of the school orchestra program of the Sudbury Public Schools and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.
