American Christian School American Christian School is a Pre-K through 12th-grade independent college preparatory school with campuses in Succasunna, Rockaway & Whippany.

American Christian School is a PreK - 12th Grade private non-denominational Christian School in Morris County, NJ. Established in 1964, ACS has now expanded to two campuses. South Campus in Roxbury is home to our Preschool and Elementary School. Our Middle School and High School are located at our North Campus in Wharton.

Little Scientists, Big Discoveries!

Our Arrow Campus Kindergarten students are exploring the wonderful world of science through our new Mystery Science curriculum! During the hands-on lesson, “Be a Weather Watcher,” our young learners stepped into the role of meteorologists, observing their surroundings and drawing pictures to record what they discovered.

Through these engaging activities, students are building observation skills, growing their scientific vocabulary, and learning to see the wonders of science in the world God created!

At ACS, even our youngest learners are discovering that learning is an adventure!

History Comes Alive at ACS!

Our 11th and 12th graders recently traveled to Plymouth, Massachusetts, to explore the history of America’s early English settlers! From reading about history in textbooks to standing in the very places where it happened, our students experienced firsthand how the past comes alive beyond the classroom.

This year’s trip included a special treat: hearing from Tabitha Busch, a former ACS Eagle! What a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn from an ACS alumna while exploring our nation’s rich history.

Experiences like these are just one of the many things that make ACS so special! We believe learning goes beyond the pages of a book, creating opportunities for students to explore, discover, and connect with the stories that shaped our nation. 🇺🇸

Do you need prayer?

Our 9th graders have been carrying something special on their hearts: praying for others.

They’re collecting prayer requests from our ACS community because they want to lift up the needs, burdens, joys, and challenges of others in prayer.

So, we want to ask:

**What do YOU need prayer for?**

Whether it’s something big or small, joyful or difficult, you can share your request. Our 9th graders would be honored to pray for you.

What a beautiful reminder that **ACS Students Lead**...not only in the classroom, but by caring for others and bringing their needs before the Lord.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

What makes a school more than just a “school”?

It’s the people inside it.

Case in point: On picture day, our South Campus office manager, Mrs. Rowe, came across a young girl trying her best to fix her hair...with a LOT of water!

Mrs. Rowe knew exactly what to do. She stepped in, helped her get picture-day ready, and made sure she felt cared for and confident before heading off to have her picture taken.

It may seem like a small moment, but these are the moments that make ACS so special.

It’s the teachers who notice.
It’s the staff who step in.
It’s the people who care about the little things because they care about the students.

At ACS, our students are Known & Loved, and sometimes that looks like a helping hand, a quick hair fix, and someone who says, “I’ve got you.”

That’s more than a school. That’s family.

We are so excited and incredibly grateful to share that ACS has a new school van!

This van is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together, generous hearts give, and we trust God with the details. Through generous donations, the support of our ACS family, and most importantly, God’s grace and provision, this dream has become a reality!

We want to give a very special shout-out to recent ACS graduate Rachel Ramirez, who spearheaded this project last year. Rachel took the initiative to create a GoFundMe and began raising awareness and funds to help make a new van possible. Her leadership, vision, and willingness to serve made an incredible impact and we are so thankful that her efforts helped set this project in motion!

Rachel, thank you for seeing a need and doing something about it. What an incredible example of student leadership in action!

To every person who donated, shared the fundraiser, prayed, or helped along the way...THANK YOU! This van will serve our students and school community for years to come. To God be the Glory!

One of the most treasured times of the week at ACS is worship.

There’s something powerful about pausing from the busyness of the school day to come together as a community to worship, pray, and focus our hearts on Jesus.

Worship changes the atmosphere of our schools. It brings students and teachers together, reminds us of what truly matters, and gives us the opportunity to lift our voices as one school family.

These moments are more than a break in the school day...they are a reminder that Jesus is at the center of all we do.

WHY DOES ACS TEACH LOGIC IN MIDDLE SCHOOL?

Because middle school students are READY for it and they LOVE it!

ACS is one of the few schools in New Jersey that intentionally teaches Logic as part of the middle school experience. Why? Because this is the age when students are developing the ability to think more deeply, recognize patterns, question assumptions, and make connections.

And let's be honest…give a middle schooler a challenging problem to solve, and they’re often ALL IN!

Logic teaches students to:
✔️ Think critically
✔️ Build and defend sound arguments
✔️ Recognize faulty reasoning
✔️ Solve problems thoughtfully
✔️ Ask better questions
✔️ Become independent thinkers

At ACS, we don't just want students to know the answer. We want them to understand WHY the answer is true and how to think through a problem for themselves.
