Subiaco Academy Alumni The Subiaco Academy Alumni Association represents the thousands of graduates of Subiaco Academy in S In 1912 Father Walter J. and Mr.

Tynan prevailed upon the faculty to form the Subiaco Alumni Association. Under the leadership of Father Gregory Kehres, O.S.B. Bernard Ihle, the organization's first secretary and first president, the association was welded into a firmly knit organization. As a corporate body the Alumni Association has stood in the forefront in the task of building a better Subiaco by generously giving of their resources of enthusiasm, time and money. The present membership continues this tradition by a variety of ongoing involvement. The following list is by no means exhaustive: financial support for the Academy, Coury House programs, membership on various vital Academy and Abbey committees, a yearly career workshop for Academy students, the annual reunion, yearly presentation of the directory and other association mementos to graduates, hosting an annual tailgate party, a phone-a-thon, an annual senior banquet, and publication of the monthly e-newsletter to alumni.

A special milestone for a Subi brother.

This weekend in Wichita, Xander Rankin received the Sacrament of Confirmation, completing his initiation into the Catholic Church. Four of his Subi brothers, Logan Hess, Luke Rainwater, Tanner Komp, and Joey Sparks, made the trip to celebrate this important moment with him.

Since graduating from Subiaco in 2023, these young men have made the extra effort to stay in touch and get together regularly whenever they can, even while attending colleges in Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas.

At Subiaco, our young men grow up closely connected to the monks of our Abbey, with the teachings of the Catholic faith woven throughout their days. We are grateful for the opportunity to plant those seeds, and we give thanks to God for the ways He brings them to life.

We’re proud of these young men and the brotherhood they continue to carry with them. They show up for each other. That’s the Subi brotherhood.
