5th grade took on the Tower of Terror Friday

It takes a steady hand, a little strategy, and a whole lot of teamwork to build the tower without sending it crashing down! These engineers were definitely feeling the pressure! 😂

Learning, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition make for a pretty fun day in 5th grade! 💙🦅

5th grade is hard at work putting their engineering skills to the test! 🧠📚✏️ Lots of planning, building, testing, and problem-solving happening in our classroom.

4th and 5th grade students kicked off week 2 with a Book Tasting. Students got to “taste” the novels they’ll be reading this school year. I loved hearing their thoughts and opinions on each book and the discussions they had with one another. It was such a fun start to the week. 💙📚💙

We had a phenomenal first week back in 5th grade Literacy and Social Studies. We picked up right where we left off. This group rocked their beginning of the year i-Ready Reading diagnostic. We talked about mistakes, how they’re a part of life and what we can do to learn from them. Each student shared 3 things they hope to improve upon from last year to this year. We wrapped up the week choosing our one word for the year that will guide us and help us conquer fifth grade. Each student wrote about their word and made a bracelet with their chosen word. I’m so proud of these kids and can’t wait to see how much they grow this year.
