The Zacchaeus House

The Zacchaeus House The Zacchaeus House is for men who are in addiction recovery seeking to transition back into society through discipleship and community engagement.

Men interested in living at The Zacchaeus House must have successfully completed at least six months at a recovery program. We are able to house three men looking to transition back into society. While at the Zacchaeus House men will attend daily Bible studies, serve the community, attend Celebrate Recovery meetings, and church services on Sunday. The Zacchaeus House is operated by Gustavo and Jor

dan Cortez. Gustavo is a recovered addict that was afforded the opportunity to attend John 3:16 Ministries. While at John 3:16, Gustavo spent six months as a resident graduating in November of 2020. Feeling led to help other men, Gustavo stayed on as an instructor for an additional year. John 3:16 has given him the tools to do the next right thing through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that this would not be possible without the direction of the Lord. He has placed it in our hearts to help other men and families battling addiction and the heartache it causes. We hope to help remind men and families that because Jesus forgives there is a new life waiting for them when you follow Him and that you don’t have to live in the darkness. There is a better life. Luke 19:10 says, “ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Psalm 40: 1-3 says, “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
