10th annual Meade County 4-H Master Chef Competition was a great success! Congrats to top chef Baylee and Sadie! The top team was Otto and Oliver with their whoopie pies! Thanks to Meade School district for letting us use the culinary arts kitchen and to judges Lori and Mica! We appreciate you all!

Thank you Bear Butte Gardens for letting Meade County 4-H use your commercial kitchen for a grape jelly making class. Master Food Preserver, Cindy Burris, taught the class to 10 youth and 3 adults!

This Youth Beef Summit is such a valuable opportunity for the youth of western South Dakota!
They will have a calving simulator where youth will be able to pull calves, a range tour to learn our prairie plants, livestock showmanship and daily care, nutritional activities, beef quality assurance and more. There is so much to learn!

You do NOT have to be a 4-H member to participate.

The deadline to apply is August 1st with interviews being conducted during the State Fair.

The National Sojourners organization hosted a Flag Day event at Ft. Meade, presenting a notable program titled 'Old Glory.' Afterwards, the Jr. Leaders group participated in a community service project, cleaning their designated area along Hwy 34.
