Every student has the right to a quality education and the responsibility to achieve it. All students have the potential to be productive members of society. The needs of students will be our first priority. Diversity among people is to be valued. Students are our greatest resource. Schools must provide a safe environment for teaching and learning. Schools must have high expectations for students and staff. Learning is enhanced by a positive and supportive environment that fosters creativity, self-confidence and success. Students are capable of making decisions, with proper guidance, and are responsible for their own actions. Our school system is accountable to our community. Change is essential for growth and improvement.

Welcome Back, Meade 46-1 Staff!

Our Staff Back-to-School Breakfast & In-Service took place this morning, officially kicking off another school year! 🎉

We started the morning with a delicious breakfast provided by our Food Service Department, followed by a variety of vendors ready to welcome our staff back and share what they have to offer.

A special thank-you to our students who helped set the tone for the morning by performing the National Anthem.

We also heard from:
🎤 Board President Justin Jutting
🎤 MEA President Carol Waider & Co-President Michelle Paulson
🎯 Curriculum Director Beth Johnson, who shared our student achievement goals
👋 Superintendent Wayne Wormstadt, who officially welcomed everyone back

Today is National Relaxation Day, which means you officially have permission to do absolutely nothing. 😂

Today’s recommended activities include:

📱 Staring at your phone while insisting you’re “relaxing.”
😴 Taking a nap and calling it self-care instead of falling asleep at 2:17 p.m.
🧺 Looking at the laundry pile and deciding it builds character.
📺 Watching “just one episode” until Netflix asks if you’re still alive.

If you feel stressed about relaxing, you’re doing it wrong. 😂

👧💙👦 HAPPY SON & DAUGHTER DAY! 👦💗👧

Today we celebrate the children who have brought us a level of financial commitment we definitely did not fully understand at the beginning. 😂💸

Sons and daughters have a special talent for:
📱 Needing Wi-Fi more than oxygen
🧦 Losing things that were literally just in their hands
🚪 Leaving every light on in the house
🙄 Saying “I know” while clearly not knowing
💰 Developing an impressive ability to spend money

And yet… somehow, we wouldn’t trade them for anything. ❤️ Share your PG-rated photos of how you’re celebrating Son & Daughter Day! 👧💙👦Bonus points that prove everyone was getting along when the camera came out. 😂📸
