A Scoop of Brew Update

After several wonderful years of bringing A Scoop of Brew to our teachers and staff, we’re sad to share that we won’t be able to continue the event this year due to a lack of volunteers.

We are incredibly thankful for all the years we were able to serve our teachers and staff and hopefully bring a little joy to their day. It has been such a special experience, and we truly appreciate everyone who has helped make it possible over the years.

If anyone is interested in taking over A Scoop of Brew this year, please reach out to Hondi. We would be happy to pass along any information and help make the transition as easy as possible.

Today was our final coffee day for the school year. A special thanks to Sturgis Strikers and Kerry Skinner for their monthly donations this past year. Also thank you to this months sponsor Scooptown Carwash who also handed out coupons for a discounted Carwash.

This would not be possible without our sponsors, brewers and servers so thank you to all of you. I’d also like to recognize Breezy Millar who stores and does the shopping, Shauna Sigman who handles the sign ups and brews and Amber Burgdorfer who has taken on the snacks we’ve been able to provide courtesy of Kerry Skinners donations.

If anyone is interested in joining our team to help please reach out. There are no meetings, just brewing and serving once a month or helping any other way you’re able.

Today, we hosted Coffee Monday to welcome our staff back from Christmas break. Special appreciation is extended to Kris and Anson Juelfs and Kerry Skinner for their generous sponsorship, and to Sturgis Strikers for their monthly donation of coffee cups. We also acknowledge the efforts of our brewers and servers. We have had a hard time getting servers so if you’re able please sign up to help us out. A sign-up link will be provided in the comments.

This morning was coffee morning and what a wonderful day to spread some warmth and joy during these chilly days. Today was our first day of a Scoop of Brew for the 25/26 school year and what a great brisk morning to serve.

Special thanks to Sturgis Strikers again this year for donating cups, straws and lids every month.

We’d also like to recognize Kerri Skinner who donated for extra treats this month. She loved the joy it brought while she was teaching and is graciously paying it forward. The “mint” treats were a hit.

We are excited to announce that we will be serving coffee to our teachers and staff for the 25-26 school year starting in October. The sponsor slots are available along with brewing and serving spots. If you want to sponsor and serve please sign up for both. You can choose which school you want to brew and serve at.
