Thank you United Way of the Black Hills and Black Hills Reads for awarding us this year so we can strengthen our early literacy program.
Cannot wait to encourage our early learners to become lifelong learners/readers by helping build a strong foundation.

Over the spring, we opened applications for our 2026 Innovation Grant Awards.

Today, we’re excited to announce the recipients! Each organization listed here is using unique and innovative ways to expand young children’s access to books and literary resources throughout the Black Hills.

Learning the fun of a rainy day helps kids grow resilient, adaptable, and open to finding beauty anywhere!

Scooper Fans — It’s Playoff Time!

Your Sturgis Scoopers will host a first-round football playoff game tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, at Woodle Field. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.

Because this is a South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) playoff event, a few important reminders:

💵Admission: $7 for adults and $5 for students (set by the SDHSAA Board of Directors).
All fans, including Meade School District students and children, must pay admission. Season passes are not valid for playoff games.

Event Guidelines: Signs, banners, flags, noise makers, and balls are not allowed at SDHSAA playoff games. Only official signage approved by the SDHSAA, Bands of the Day, or media outlets is permitted.

📣Let’s pack Woodle Field, cheer loud, and show our Scooper pride as the team kicks off postseason play!
