Meade School District 46-1 will have a 2-hour late start today, Friday, Dec 12, 2025. This includes Sturgis Elementary, Sturgis Williams MS, Sturgis Brown HS, Piedmont Valley Elementary, Stagebarn MS, Whitewood Elementary, and the rural schools.

Busses will be running 2 hours later than normal.

Skies the Limit Academy, a federal government contractor, child care center and educational counseling service company, has an opportunity to work as a child care teacher assistant on the BH Fort Meade VA Medical Campus

Responsibilities will include :

(1) Employing teaching methods and techniques proper for child–age group category served.

(2) Ensuring program schedules and activities are responsive to needs, interests, and abilities of each child.

(3) Role modeling communication and interaction skills for children, direct services personnel, parents, and support staff.

(4) Role modeling child guidance techniques for direct services personnel, parents and support staff.

As we opened our doors tonight, Skies at Night PJ party transformed into a haven of joy, fueling laughter and memories through pizza, movies, sensory bottles, and friendship, all while parents enjoyed a well-deserved night out!
