It’s the 4th Thursday of the month which means it’s meeting night!

Big thanks to USCG Station Sturgeon Bay for the tour! Scouts got to see the new airboat that is better suited for ice rescues, climb the lighthouse tower, peek in the comms room, and more.

Our scouts spent all evening adding personal touches to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s new Sailing Hall of Fame exhibit opening in September.

Scouts experimented with different wraps and whippings and experimented with tensioning on the rope.

UPDATE: Long Voyage One - 2026: The return home was just another chapter of adventure for the scouts in Ship 1261. Pop-up showers and storms, winds steady at 36knts with 40+ gusts made it memorable! Both Stjarna and Utopia crews are home safe! The only casualty was a scout’s phone that splashed at the dock. The learning, camaraderie and teamwork was phenomenal!
A special Bravo Zulu to our adult leaders to Patriot Racing Project and our sponsor organization, the Door County Maritime Museum!

2026 Long Voyage Day 3 Wrap-up, the view from Stjarna. Late AM departure from Fish Creek. Light winds increased to 14mph as we neared the Michigan coast… Utopia flying all five sails and Stjarna making the most of every bit of wind as they raced across the bay… it all made for a great day. Dinner together with a toast to new skills and new bonds with shipmates. Patriot Racing Project Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc.
