Peninsular Agricultural Research Station

Peninsular Agricultural Research Station PARS supports the research efforts of UW Madison and other institutions along with housing the US Potato Genebank.

Specialists use the station as a field laboratory for research and outreach of tree fruit and row crops.

The UW Peninsular Agricultural Research Station located in Sturgeon Bay, WI is excited to add a seasonal groundskeeper position to our team starting this summer.

This position will be responsible for maintaining green spaces around the buildings, as well as assisting with horticultural management in the orchards.

This flexible appointment of up to 40 hours/week from June through October has a pay range of $15.87-20.00/hour depending on qualifications.

Duties will include:
- Maintaining landscaping using a variety of tools and equipment. Landscaping tasks primarily include mowing, w**d eating, and mulching around plantings and buildings.

- Assisting with horticultural management tasks in various fruit plantings. Orchard tasks will include mowing, tree and vine training, pruning, and harvest, among others.

- This position may also participate in crop pest and disease scouting, and irrigation management depending on experience and availability.
