Level Up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Cypress, Texas) – Academy Manager and Instructor

Job Description
Level Up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is seeking an Academy Manager//Instructor to join our family-friendly and modern martial arts academy in Cypress, Texas. Our ideal Manager candidate will have an ownership mentality, passion for teaching martial arts, and building strong meaningful relationships with families and students in the local community.

This high-profile position has a broad range of responsibilities, the Manager//Instructor will oversee the academy’s revenue and expense goals, lead and teach kids & adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, manage day-to-day academy operations, and maintain Level Up’s high level of customer service and care of students.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Academy Operations
•Collaborating with Level Up Management to establish academy priorities and goals, including annual and quarterly revenue targets.
•Overseeing revenue-generating activities, including but not limited to new membership enrollments, personal introductory classes, pro shop sales, events, etc.
•Maximizing member retention by ensuring high-level group training/teaching, customer service, cleanliness, and maintaining consistent communication with students and parents in adherence with the Level Up training systems guidelines.
•Managing delinquency through Level Up systems guidelines.
•Managing social media weekly posts and responding to requests and comments.
•Motivating, coaching and managing paid and/or volunteer staff as the academy grows

Oversight and Teaching of Kids & Adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program
•Managing and teaching the Kids & Adults BJJ programs.
•Responsible for keeping students on track for belt testing & promotions through Level Up guidelines.
•Organizing and promoting Level Up in-house events, tournaments, and seminars as needed.
•Keeping daily accurate attendance records and contacting absentee students once per week.

Qualifications
•Possess a strong customer service focus. Ability to respond professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, parents, students, and staff.
•Able to maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude with staff, students, and guests.
•Possesses strong organizational skills. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
•Basic knowledge and proficiency with teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Martial Arts
•5 plus years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training

Compensation
•We offer a highly competitive salary and industry-leading commission opportunities.
•We would prefer a local Texas candidate, but we would be open to paying for relocation for the right candidate.
