Throughout the year, our students have opportunities to earn Merit Awards by demonstrating the qualities we expect from our Cougars!

At the end of each quarter, we recognize these outstanding students with a certificate of merit and the exciting opportunity to spin the prize wheel!!

For the first quarter, we celebrated 9 students for demonstrating: respectfulness, preparedness, encouragement, and responsibility. We are proud of these students for being positive role models!

Keep up the great work and we can’t wait to see who earns recognition next quarter!

REMINDER TO ACPS FAMILIES!

There will be no school for students on Monday, October 12th and Tuesday, October 13th. Teachers and staff will report for workdays and professional development.

We look forward to seeing students on Wednesday, October 14th, and 1st Quarter report cards will be distributed on Thursday, October 15th.

PEP RALLY at SDMS! We celebrated our Fall athletes, played some games and students won fun prizes! Thanks to all the teachers and staff that helped make this event fun for the kids!

SDMS FFA is excited to offer fall mums for sale! Colors are yellow, maroon, a deep copper, and tricolor (maroon, copper, and yellow in one planter).

Students planted them last spring, and they are finally ready! This has been a learning process for us, and the round shape didn't turn out quite the way we had hoped. Because of that, we are excited to offer them at lower prices:

$8 for large planters
$4 for smaller half gallon pots

Please contact the ag department to set up a special appointment, or stop by the greenhouse after school until 6:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

They're going fast! We greatly appreciate your support of SDMS FFA and our students!
